GPhC-registered UK pharmacy service
Online Weight Loss Service UK
Live Well Weight Loss provides a pharmacist-led online weight-loss service with clinical assessment, identity checks, BMI verification, prescriber review, dispensing from a registered UK pharmacy and ongoing support throughout treatment.
How our online weight-loss service works
Our service is designed to make private weight-loss treatment safer, clearer and more supportive. Before any medicine is supplied, you must complete an online assessment and our team must complete appropriate clinical and identity checks. Your preferred option can be considered, but treatment is only supplied if it is clinically appropriate and approved by a prescriber.
Patients can contact our pharmacy team if they are unsure which option is suitable. We will explain the process, but the final treatment and dose decision is made by the prescriber after reviewing your consultation, BMI evidence, medical history, current medicines and any relevant safety information.
1. Pre-screening questionnaire
You complete an online pre-screening questionnaire covering your weight, height, BMI, medical history, current medicines, previous treatment use and suitability for private weight-loss treatment.
2. Treatment preference
You may indicate your preferred treatment option and dose. This preference does not guarantee supply. The prescriber will decide whether treatment is suitable and which dose is appropriate.
3. Pharmacy team contact
Once your order is placed, one of our team will contact you. Orders placed before 3pm are usually contacted the same working day. Orders placed after this are usually contacted within 24 hours on working days.
4. Video consultation and BMI check
You complete a video consultation or video verification process so we can confirm your identity, weight, height and BMI evidence. This helps our prescriber make a safer clinical decision.
5. Safety checks
With your consent, we may complete Summary Care Record checks where appropriate. We also review your medical history, current medicines, previous treatment, allergies and any possible contraindications.
6. Prescriber review
A qualified prescriber reviews your consultation and supporting information. If treatment is not suitable, we will not supply it and we will explain the next steps.
Dose selection and treatment safety
Weight-loss treatment should usually be started at the lowest appropriate dose and increased gradually only when clinically suitable. If you are new to treatment, restarting after a treatment break, switching provider or requesting a higher dose, our prescriber will review your history carefully before deciding what is safe.
Website information can help you understand treatment options, dose escalation and common side effects, but it does not replace clinical judgement. The prescriber may approve your requested dose, recommend a different dose, ask for more information or decline treatment if it is not clinically appropriate.
Dispensing and delivery
Once your treatment has been clinically approved and signed by the prescriber, it is dispensed by Live Well Pharmacy. We use tracked delivery, and where temperature-sensitive items are supplied, we follow appropriate packaging and dispatch procedures.
Approved orders are usually sent using a 24-hour tracked service for expected next-day delivery. Delivery times can be affected by courier performance, weekends, bank holidays, stock availability and clinical review requirements, so we will contact you if there is any issue with your order.
What we check before supply
- Your age and identity
- Your weight, height and BMI evidence
- Your medical history and current medicines
- Previous treatment use and dose history
- Allergies, contraindications and safety concerns
- Whether treatment is clinically appropriate
When we may not supply
- If eligibility criteria are not met
- If BMI or identity evidence cannot be verified
- If there are safety concerns
- If treatment history is unclear
- If the requested dose is not appropriate
- If further medical advice is needed first
Ongoing support during treatment
Our service does not end once your treatment is dispatched. Patients can contact the pharmacy team for practical support, side-effect advice, dose queries and general guidance throughout their treatment journey.
We also encourage patients to focus on long-term lifestyle change, including nutrition, hydration, physical activity, sleep, alcohol intake and sustainable habits. Medicine can support weight loss, but long-term results depend on safe prescribing, monitoring and behavioural change.
If you experience severe, persistent or worrying symptoms, you should seek urgent medical advice. Our team can support routine treatment questions, but emergency symptoms should not wait for an online pharmacy response.

Frequently asked questions
Can I choose my preferred treatment?
You can tell us your preferred treatment option, but this does not guarantee supply. The prescriber will decide whether treatment is suitable after reviewing your consultation and safety information.
Can I choose my dose?
You may indicate your current or requested dose, especially if you are continuing treatment from another provider. The final dose decision is made by the prescriber. You may be asked for evidence of recent treatment before a higher dose is approved.
Will someone contact me after I order?
Yes. Our team will contact you after your order is placed. Orders placed before 3pm are usually contacted the same working day, while later orders are usually contacted within 24 hours on working days.
Why do you need a video consultation or BMI check?
BMI and identity checks help us verify that treatment is being considered safely and appropriately. This supports safer prescribing and reduces the risk of unsuitable supply.
Do you check my NHS record?
With your consent, we may complete Summary Care Record checks where appropriate. This can help our team confirm relevant medicines, allergies or safety information.
How quickly will my order arrive?
Once clinically approved and dispensed, orders are usually sent using a 24-hour tracked service for expected next-day delivery. Dispatch depends on clinical approval, stock availability, courier collection times and working-day cut-offs.
